The results are in - and Heart of the Shore's Trish Deans, Jan O'Connor, and Ruth Jackson have all had the call to say they have been elected to the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board. We are hugely disappointed that our fabulous teammate Iain Rea will not be joining us around the board table - but know he will continue all the other wonderful work he does around the community.

Thank you to all our wonderful supporters and everyone who has placed your faith in us to serve you well over the next three years. We are grateful and humbled.

Our congratulations also go to George Wood, back for another term on the board, and new board members Aidan Bennett and Toni Van Tonder.

About Us

Heart of the Shore have three team members serving the community on the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board.

Long-standing local board member Jan O’Connor’s unstinting service to the community was recognised in the 2019 New Year Honours, when she was awarded a QSM. Her teammates Ruth Jackson and Trish Deans have proven track records of community involvement and advocacy across a wide range of issues, which they are bringing to their first term as board members.
